Emoji Picker

Click any emoji to copy it to your clipboard

About this tool

Browse the full emoji set by category โ€” smileys, people, animals, food, activities, travel, objects, symbols โ€” or search by name, then click any emoji to copy it to your clipboard. A Recently Used row keeps your regulars one click away. Handy on desktop, where the system emoji picker is easy to forget or awkward to reach.

When to use it

Worked example

Need a checkmark for release notes? Type "check" in the search box, click โœ…, and it's on your clipboard โ€” paste it straight into your changelog. Next release, it's sitting in Recently Used. Search matches emoji names, so "heart" surfaces the whole heart family and "rocket" jumps straight to ๐Ÿš€.

Frequently asked questions

Why does an emoji look different after I paste it?

Emoji are Unicode characters; each platform draws its own artwork. The character you copy is identical everywhere โ€” ๐ŸŽ‰ is the same code point โ€” but Apple, Google, Microsoft, and others render it in their own style.

Why do some emoji show as boxes or plain symbols?

Your operating system's emoji font may predate newer emoji. The character still copies correctly and will render for recipients on updated systems, even if your machine shows a placeholder.

Does copying include skin tone or variations?

Clicking copies exactly the emoji shown. Skin-tone variants are separate Unicode sequences โ€” if you need a specific tone, look for the toned variant rather than the base emoji.

Where is my Recently Used list stored?

Locally in your browser's storage on this device. It never leaves your machine, and clearing it with the Clear button (or clearing site data) empties it.
