About this tool

This generator produces random first-and-last-name combinations from large common-name lists, with an optional gender filter and adjustable count. Generate a batch, click Copy All, and paste them wherever you need — no signup, everything runs in your browser.

When to use it

Worked example

Set Count to 10 and Gender to Any, click Generate Names, and you get a list like "Elena Vasquez, Thomas Reeves, Priya Chandra…" — ten distinct full names in one click. Need a specific mix? Generate five with the Female filter, then five with Male, and combine. Copy All grabs the whole list, one name per line, ready for a spreadsheet.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the names come from?

First and last names are drawn from lists of common real-world names and combined at random. The combinations themselves are invented — the tool isn't sampling real people's full names from any database.

Can the same name appear twice?

In large batches, repeats are possible since each name is an independent random draw. If you need guaranteed-unique names, generate a few extra and delete duplicates.

Can I use these names commercially?

Yes. Individual names aren't copyrightable, and the generated combinations are random. For a product or company name, run a trademark search separately — that's a different question from personal names.

How is this different from the Fake Name Generator?

This tool generates just names, in batches, with a gender filter — best for lists. The Fake Name Generator builds one complete identity at a time (name plus email, phone, address, birth date) — best for form-filling and test records.
